Week 5 – Earth day

The topic I chose is biodiversity loss, a quick definition would be losing various species of animals around the world due to extinction. Here’s a more complex definition of biodiversity that I found by searching up the topic.
Having a large variety of animals on earth can be pretty important because you never know how important they are to the earth and environment. I remember being told that bees are becoming slightly endangered, bees are very important to humans. I could write a lot about how they help all our food to grow, but I’m trying to keep this paragraph short and simple. You may be thinking, it can’t be too much of a problem because we can just live on meat! Obviously, animals eat their leafy greens too. Without bees, humans wouldn’t survive. Bees try to protect themselves by stinging humans who appear to be threatening and that seems like a good thing because they’re very important and shouldn’t be messed with. Enough with bees, other animals also do a lot for the earth and you may not even know it! You should maybe try getting all those “Humans can survive by themselves” thoughts out of your head.

Virtual pet tutorial!

This is a tutorial on how to get a virtual pet in your widgets! The site I’ll be using is Bunny Hero Labs!

First, click the link I’ve attached ⬆️!

I will be adopting a panda in this tutorial.
You can customize your pet!

Once you’re happy with the names and appearrance, click finish!

Now you’re probably at choosing the type of code. Many people have been choosing “other”.  Choose “non flash sites” aka the green option.
Now you should copy the code once you’ve selected “non flash sites” Sorry that I’m unable to attach screenshots now!

Now, go to your blog!

Click “customize” you’ll find it at the top of your page next to a paintbrush icon.

Once you’re at customizing your blog, click “widgets”

Doesn’t matter if you choose “main sidebar” or “3 col right sidebar” it’s just options to which side you want your widget!

Now, click add widget. Once you’ve done that, scroll until you’ve found “custom HTML” Choose custom HTML and paste your code into it!

There! Enjoy your pet, click publish and enjoy your little friend in your sidebar. If you have any questions please ask me in the comments, thank you for reading!

Cambodia country of focus!

Cambodia’s flag: 🇰🇭

The emoji may be too small. Here is a larger image:

Cambodia is located in Asia.

Cambodia’s capital city is Phnom Penh.

It is not in the southern hemisphere, Cambodia is in the northern hemisphere.

Cambodia’s population is 15.2 million.

The national language is Khmer.

The currency used in Cambodia is Cambodian riel.

An interesting fact about Cambodia is that its national animal is Kouprey! Kouprey looks something similar to a bull.

I am unable to find any connections with Australia currently.

Cambodia’s bordering countries:

Vietnam – East

Laos – Northeast

Thailand – Northwest

Commenting

  1. 👎 This comment isn’t very good because the comment seems quite irrelevant to the post. I can already tell even though I haven’t seen the post. I also don’t like how they used text slang, the only good thing is that they said “from penny”.
  2. 👍 This comment is quite good since it was relevant to the post. It’s also quite nice how they’re going to ask people to join something nice.
  3. 👍 This comment is nice because they complimented the review. I’m getting the idea that they were trying to start a conversation about the book.
  4. 👎 Yeah, dogs are exciting, but they’re not supposed to be in a post about school. This comment isn’t relevant to the post unless it was titled: “Has anyone gotten a new dog and would like to use bad grammar and spelling?” I doubt it was. They should check their grammar and spelling before posting.
  5. 👍 This comment is very friendly and on topic. They even added a specific part they liked and shared their opinion.
  6. 👎 I’m unsure what they were thinking while they posted this comment, 1. It uses text slang. 2. It would make their sister feel unhappy if she read it.
  7. 👎 This comment is sort of okay? But it lacks detail and it’s only one sentence. If the writer of the story read this comment I guess they would be pleased they liked the story, but they wouldn’t know what exactly they enjoyed in the story.
  8. 👍 This comment is okay because they did disagree but didn’t start an argument. Only supported their opinion in a friendly manner.

200 Word Challenge

Be careful! The road is too narrow!” Exclaimed the mother. “Are the chains on the wheels going to break, Dad?” Asked the young girl “Please pass it to me before I-”. “If you don’t stop being so loud we’re going to fall off the edge!” Warned the Dad, the young girl froze in horror, meanwhile the baby boy chewing on his blue blanket. The Meyer Family was on a “Magical Winter Wonderland” Trip in Geneva, Switzerland. They are a family of 4, they have a 2 year old son Thomas, and a 6 year old daughter Autumn, The parents’ names are Genene and Jonathan.

A couple of days before: they left London to arrive on a plane to Geneva, large bags under the parents eyes, and large smiles on the children’s faces. The family hired a large black car, it glimmered just like the young girl’s eyes when she saw first witnessed it, she then exclaimed “BAT-MOBILE!” The parents loved watching as the girl tried to find all the ‘secrets’ in the car. Meanwhile the man who they were renting from was gathering chains. The parents looked slightly confused as to why he had a bunch of chains. “Sir? What are those for?” Asked Genene, “The road is extremely slippery due to of this kind of weather. Therefore, you’re required to put these chains on your tires to keep safe,” replied the man. Autumn looked shocked, not sure if she was just surprised because she found something in the car. The parent’s jaws dropped when they realised what they were in for.

What are those for?” Asked Genene, “Oh did I not tell you? The road is extremely slippery because of this kind of weather. You’re required to wrap these chains around your wheels to prevent many accidents,” Autumn looked shocked, not sure if she was just surprised because she found something in the car or something similar. The parent’s jaws dropped when they realised what they were in for.
